Vivian Vazquez is a Brooklyn-based visual artist, animating films based on past experiences, while visualizing the weirdness in her brain.
She enjoys animating traditionally, regularly employing bold colors and linework, and constantly experimenting with new illustrative styles and animation techniques.
She recently completed her film, Memory Motel, premiering it at the Pratt Institute’s Best of Animation 2024 show. Her animated documentary film, abuelito, premiered at the 2022 Animation Block Party, was a finalist at the 60 Seconds or Less Video Festival, and received an honorable mention at the 2022 Student World Impact Film Festival. Her film, apollo moon, premiered at the 2023 Animation Block Party.
Vivian graduated from Pratt Institute’s 2D Animation BFA program with a minor in Literature and Writing in 2024.
